“I Don’t Care About That Man” – Erling Haaland Responds to Ex-Manchester United Star

Erling Haaland, the prolific striker for Manchester City, didn’t hold back in his response to former Manchester United player Roy Keane’s criticism, following his sensational performance in City’s 5-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

Haaland, who returned from injury with a bang, showcased his prowess by netting four goals against Wolves.

His remarkable display included a second-half strike just minutes after stepping onto the pitch as a substitute, followed by a penalty conversion and a powerful header.

Despite facing criticism earlier in the season, Haaland’s recent goal-scoring spree has silenced many doubters, including Keane.

Roy Keane had previously disparaged Haaland’s performance, likening it to that of a “League Two player” after a match against Arsenal.

However, Haaland shrugged off Keane’s comments with a dismissive attitude. “I don’t really care that much about that man, so that’s all right,” Haaland remarked in an interview with Viaplay. For him, the focus remains on winning games and maintaining City’s title pursuit.

Keane’s criticism of Haaland is not devoid of history. The Haaland family has a contentious past with Keane, particularly stemming from a brutal tackle by the former United midfielder on Erling’s father, Alf-Inge Haaland, during a Manchester derby in 2001.

The incident left Alf-Inge with a career-altering injury and has likely contributed to the tension between Keane and the Haaland family.

Despite the scrutiny, Haaland remains undeterred. He is on a mission to propel Manchester City to another Premier League title.

With an impressive track record, including becoming one of only three players in Premier League history to score two first-half hat-tricks, Haaland’s dedication to the cause is evident.

His recent goal-scoring exploits, including the four-goal haul against Wolves, have elevated City’s title hopes.

Sitting just one point behind league leaders Arsenal with a game in hand, Haaland and his teammates are poised for a thrilling end to the season.

With crucial fixtures against Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, and West Ham United on the horizon, Haaland emphasizes the team’s focus and determination.

“Feels fantastic to score four goals, [and an] important win,” Haaland expressed after the Wolves game. As the race for the Premier League title heats up, Haaland’s form could prove pivotal in City’s quest for glory.

With each goal, he reinforces his commitment to the team’s cause, determined to deliver success to the Etihad Stadium.

As Manchester City prepares for their upcoming fixtures, Haaland’s impact on the pitch will undoubtedly be closely watched.

With his eyes set on clinching the Premier League title, Haaland’s response to criticism demonstrates his resilience and single-minded focus on achieving greatness in English football.
