United Fans Respond to Davido’s Taunt: “We Feel Pain Every Week”

Following Manchester United’s recent struggles on the field, fans of the club have once again voiced their frustration, responding to Nigerian afrobeat singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, who trolled them after the Red Devils’ 4-3 UEFA Champions League defeat to FC Copenhagen on Wednesday, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

The defeat marked United’s ninth loss in all competitions, placing them at the bottom of their group and facing a challenging task to qualify for the next round of the Champions League.

With 18 points from 11 matches, Erik Ten Hag’s side also finds themselves in the eighth position in the Premier League.

Davido, seizing the opportunity to tease United fans, took to social media, writing, “I don’t watch ball like that … but come wetin Man U do so? Every week una dey complain enlighten me pls,” accompanied by a laughing emoji.

In response, Albert Nat Hyde expressed the frustration shared by many United supporters, stating, “We are just one unlucky football club that makes rival clubs like Chelsea who do not perform any better sleep well at night.”

Another disgruntled fan added, “Davido, that’s how we watch matches every week. I’m tired,” with a crying emoji.

Michaelson Hon also chimed in, saying, “No one can explain, we just feel pains from everywhere every week.”

While Davido claims not to be an avid football watcher, his connection to the sport is evident from his visit to Old Trafford in October 2021, where he flaunted a No. 7 jersey in admiration of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite his occasional engagement with football, Davido’s comments struck a nerve among the passionate fanbase, highlighting the ongoing frustrations surrounding Manchester United’s performance this season.
