Tragic Discovery: UNIPORT Female Student Found Dead in Off-Campus Apartment

In a devastating incident, the lifeless body of Adaeze, a 200-level Accounting student at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), was discovered in her off-campus apartment located behind the university’s main campus in Aluu community, Ikwerre local government area of Rivers State.

This grim discovery comes merely two weeks after the tragic demise of Justina Otuene, a 300-level Biochemistry student allegedly killed by her boyfriend, Damian, whose body was found in her lover’s residence along NTA Road, Ozuoba community in Obio/Akpor local government area of the state.

The Dean of Student Affairs at UNIPORT, Professor Chima Wokocha, revealed that Adaeze’s lifeless body was found in her residence by some of her neighbors, who promptly brought her to the Chief Lulu-Briggs Health Centre on campus.

Professor Wokocha clarified that the unfortunate incident occurred in her off-campus dwelling in Aluu, not in the university hostel.

The university management, along with law enforcement, visited the scene of the tragedy, and the parents of the deceased were informed.

It was noted that a bottle of a substance was found near Adaeze, indicating that she might have consumed it before passing out.

The authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding her untimely demise as the UNIPORT community mourns the loss of another promising student.
