In a resolute affirmation, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State reiterated his confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) securing a decisive victory in the upcoming November 11 Governorship Election. Speaking in Lokoja during a collaboration visit with Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen. Christopher Mustapha, Governor Bello emphasized the state government’s unwavering commitment to collaborating with the Armed Forces to ensure a peaceful election and a level playing field for all candidates.
Represented by his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, Governor Bello underscored his administration’s dedication to maintaining security, making it a paramount concern since taking office.
He expressed optimism that the remarkable achievements in various sectors, particularly in security, would encourage widespread voter turnout.
“Our administration has prioritized security and witnessed significant progress in all sectors of the state’s economy.
We are confident that our accomplishments, visible to all, will resonate with the people, leading to an overwhelming victory. We will work closely with the Armed Forces to guarantee a peaceful election, providing a fair environment for all contenders.
The people of Kogi are peaceful, and we are committed to upholding stability and peace before, during, and after the governorship election,” Governor Bello stated.
He also commended the efforts of the Chief of Defence Staff, acknowledging the measures taken to ensure a peaceful electoral process in the state.
