Senator Dino Melaye, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, secured victory in his polling unit.
The results, announced by the presiding electoral officer after Saturday’s ballot casting, revealed that Melaye outpaced the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Ahmed Ododo, with a commanding lead of 210 votes to 22.
The Open Space Polling Unit in Iluafon Quarters, situated under Aiyetoro 1 registration area of Ijumu Local Government Area (LGA) in the state, also disclosed additional outcomes.
The results indicated that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) received 7 votes, Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) – 2, Social Democratic Party (SDP) – 1, National Rescue Movement (NRM) – 1, and Action Democratic Party (ADP) – 1.
