CAF Awards: Peter Obi Extends Congratulations to Osimhen and Oshoala, Expresses National Pride

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala for their remarkable achievements as recipients of the CAF’s Men and Women Footballer of the Year Awards in Morocco.

Osimhen, the prolific Napoli striker, secured the coveted title of CAF’s Men Footballer of the Year, while Oshoala, the prolific Barcelona attacker, clinched her sixth award in the women’s category.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Peter Obi shared a statement on Tuesday expressing his immense pride in the accomplishments of these two outstanding athletes. 

He conveyed his congratulations to the Napoli and Barcelona stars, emphasizing the significance of their achievements in the realm of African football.

“I like to join all other sports lovers in the country to sincerely congratulate the Nigeria duo of @victorosimhen9 and @AsisatOshoala for emerging African Players of the Year, in the Men and Women categories respectively this year,” Obi remarked.

His message went beyond mere congratulations, delving into a broader sentiment of national pride and admiration for the innate talents, growth-oriented passion, and unwavering determination for success exhibited by Osimhen and Oshoala.
