Nigerian artiste Bella Shmurda has passionately appealed to the police to release the remains of his late friend, Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.
Through his X account late Saturday, Bella Shmurda expressed deep concern about the prolonged delay in releasing Mohbad’s body, which has been held for autopsy for the past two months.
In his plea, Bella Shmurda urged the police to expedite the process and release Mohbad’s body, emphasizing the importance of facilitating a dignified funeral arrangement for his late friend. Additionally, he requested the prompt disclosure of the autopsy results.
Expressing his frustration, Bella Shmurda wrote, “It’s been over 2 months since Moh died and his body was taken in for autopsy but yet no result, which is fine but please release his body.
That boy needs a befitting burial and to go to rest. Finally, Naija Police, what’s going on? we need an answer here: where is the result? Where is his body?”
The investigation into Mohbad’s demise is ongoing, with the Nigerian Police having exhumed the body for an autopsy.
However, despite more than a month passing, the police have not disclosed any new findings from the autopsy that could contribute to resolving the case.
Mohbad passed away in September under questionable circumstances, and videos of the singer being bullied and assaulted resurfaced after his demise.
The lack of transparency and delay in releasing the autopsy results have added to the distress for friends and family seeking closure in the wake of the artist’s untimely death.
