Bandits Kill One, Abduct Six Others in Sokoto

In a tragic incident, armed bandits struck Tursa village in Rabbah Local Government area of Sokoto State in the early hours of Tuesday, resulting in the death of at least one person and the abduction of six others. 

The attackers, whose identities remain unknown, initiated the assault at midnight, leaving the community in shock and grief.

Confirming the distressing development to reporters on Tuesday morning in Sokoto, the State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ahmed Rufai, provided preliminary details of the incident.

 According to Rufai, the gunmen forcibly entered the village, setting ablaze a room that claimed the life of one individual trapped inside. 

Additionally, the assailants burned down two motorcycles and kidnapped six persons from the village. The criminal act also involved the rustling of an undisclosed number of cows.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of the attack, Rufai assured the public that the state commissioner of police has initiated a manhunt for the suspected criminals.
