Wow, what a game! I’m still buzzing from that incredible goal by Alejandro Garnacho that helped Manchester United beat Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park today.
It was one of the best goals I’ve ever seen in the Premier League, and I’m sure you’ll agree with me if you watched it live or on the highlights.
Garnacho, the 19-year-old Argentine wonderkid, scored in the third minute with a stunning bicycle kick that flew into the top corner.
It reminded me of Wayne Rooney’s legendary goal against Manchester City in 2012, but I think Garnacho’s was even better.
He showed amazing skill, technique and confidence to pull off such a spectacular finish.
That goal set the tone for the rest of the match, as Manchester United dominated Everton and scored two more goals in the second half.
Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial both found the net with clinical finishes, giving United their first comfortable win in the league this season.
Everton had their chances, but they couldn’t take them.
They had 21 shots, but only four on target. They also had to deal with the hostile atmosphere from their own fans, who were furious about the 10-point deduction they received for breaching financial rules.
The boos were loud and clear before and after the game, and I’m sure they affected the players’ performance.
Manchester United, on the other hand, looked confident and composed.
They moved up to sixth place in the table, and they have won five of their last six league games.
They are showing signs of improvement under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and they have some exciting young talents like Garnacho, who could become a superstar in the future.
